04 - The Caves of Cerdon

Located between the Lake Nantua and the river of Ain, the caves of Cerdon offer a rich circuit of lesson and discoveries.

The visitor can follow all the course of an underground river now disappeared, from his hiding to his resurgence in medium of cliff, vis-a-vis the valley of Cerdon which it worked during millenia.
The site conceals strange landscapes sintered with the forms and varied volumes and a majestic porch, without counting a view-point with a unspoilable view on the village of Cerdon and its escarpé vineyard.

A small folk train leads the visitor since the park of reception to the entry of the underground field.
The walk can be then prolonged on the plate where remain of many vestiges of a moyenâgeuse fortified town which controlled to it passage-key of the valley.

The inn of the cerdonnet, street of the copper factory, 200 meters of the copper factory, it is the inn which likes in a pastoral framework and countryman in full heart of the vineyards.

With its shaded terrace, its restaurant of 80 forks and spoons, and its room of reception and seminar of 120 forks and spoons, decorated of its automatic orchestra (15 musicians), come to benefit from the odors and savours from our area and besides, with products exclusively fresh and carried out “house”.
